Can Croats have the name Svetozar?

I was yesterday in legion of mary meeting, and when I said Im svetozar one man told me he knows a pater svetozar stego in medjugorje, so i wonder if that pater svetozar is croat or serb who is catholic? But he is a a catholic pater.

Svetozar is generally "extremely" Serb name. However due to Svetozar Borojević who was orthodox and declared Croat, it probably did become more common than it was (which was probably close to zero). It seems present in northern Croatia to some degree, but still, when you say Svetozar, almost everyone will associate that name with Serbs.

This Catholic friar you speak about possibly has Serb mother, for example.
