Post How I cured my 'bipolar' :

First of all , I would like to state that I maintain my original position that 'mental illness' or 'mental disorders' do not exist but that does not mean that some symptoms that people called mental illness are not real phenomena but I mean that statistics in the DSM and ICD are are not legit and that there are no biomarkers for these things.

"All diseases begin in the gut" -- Hippocrates

"Let food be thy medicine and medicine by thyfood" --Hippocrates

“The doctor of the future will give no medication but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease”—Thomas A. Edison

So, anyway, I paid for Sliverberry genomix (by uploading my raw dna) :

    https://silverberrygenomix.com/dna-h...lness-reports/

So, some of the things I was genetically prone to be deficient in were certain B vitamins, COQ10, Vitamin D and that I was allergic to certain foods. I also , cut gluten and casein out of my diet (two culprits that are commonly associated with 'mental illness'). In fact Doctor Perlmutter (a New York Times bestselling author) in his book "Grain Brain" cured a person diagnosed with bipolar by simply cutting out gluten from their diet. He also said he considers gluten to be a poison and that vitamin D is now recognized as an important brain hormone.

So, a Harvard University Doctor recommended , among other things, a keto diet for my 'condition'.

So things I have done that work idiosyncratically for me but for another person they would have to tweak it or use perhaps another diet and supplements (certainly the latter) :

My diet : Keto with no gluten and modified to have no dairy products (casein, you see, and I'm slightly lactose intolerant)

    Supplements :

    Vitamin D 5,000 mg a day

Omega 3 fatty acids 5-6 grams a day

    CoQ10 2,000 MG a day

    Vitamin B complex 3 times a day

Zinc with copper 3 times a day (forget the mgs right now)

Magnesium twice a day I think at 2,000 mg each if I remember correctly

a quality multvitamin with minerals (once a day)

Probiotics 3 times a day with over 15 different strains

    L-Tyrosine

    Taurine

    etc...

    NAC once a day

Vitamin C 3 or more times a day (you can't overdose see Linus Pauling )

    etc...

No point in listing them all since what I take will not be the same for another person let alone myself in the future (isn't science wonderful ?)

Books I read syntopically to figure this all out:

Actually, there were a few other books but if you are really interested in the subject you would be able to supplement additional books on your own.

I don't have bipolar disorder but I do get depression periodically. Cutting processed and fast foods definitely helped with that.

Good for you for taking control of your health physically and mentally. Best of luck ^_^

I pretty much take similar supplements but for my fitness

    zinc
    vitamine d3 + k2
    vitamine C
I take my omega 3 from krill oil, as they are the lowest on the food chain and live so far down, the omega 3 does not contain phosphatides.
    creatine
and I take asghawanda check that out

Mental health on men is highly linked to testosterone levels, Im sure most people that suffer from depression in the western world have low testosterone based on lack of exercise, sleep, being obese and from plastic bottles to water, everythinh is estrogene polluted.

Bery nice, you forgot to mention it is important to cut on acids, keep you pH balanced, preferably alcaline... anyway increase the vitamin D to 10000 on the days you are not exposed to the sun, and always take it togheter with vit K2 Wich is very important to direct and fix the vit D on the bones and to avoid creating potentially harmful micro calcifications on some organs.

Careful with the zinc, if you feel accelerated heartbeating on periods of the day or while resting it means you are overdosing, watch it. 10 mg p/ day is usually enough.

Take between 1000 mg and 2000mg day of vit c daily, but don't take more than 500 mg at a time for maximal absorption.

The best thing to do when your mentally ill is play doctor and self-diagnose yourself. I'm sure some vitamin supplements will stop that bipolar dead in it's tracks . The last thing you want to do is seek out a mental health professional or take the meds you desperately need. I'm not trying to be a dick but TA is no place for mental health awareness.

    Caution

I have enjoyed experimenting in light health issues, but I have been able to realize the scope I had for more serious issues and then over time I have realized how the whole process of making people distrust traditional medicine to make their own particular business started and it is very dangerous.

My conclusion is that there are beliefs that kill

Today I trust traditional medicine and I accept all the chemistry in the world, long live the chemistry and the medicines of traditional medicine.

On the other hand it is true that traditional medicine has a hard time accepting things from other types of medicine that are very good too.

But well if it is of any use to anyone: go back to trusting traditional medicine and find a good specialist or at least consult him or explain the alternative treatment you follow. It is difficult for someone with a lot of hype for decades contrary in his head and you come to understand through experience, the problem is that time plays against us and there are people who do not have time to realize, understand.
