Ladies: Is chivalry bad?

Let me give a little background of myself:

-Muslimah American
-In my 20s
-Loud activist against misogyny (I often voice my opinion how I am against domestic violence, female infanticide, women should be able to join workforce ONLY if she wants, abortion should be ok under certain circumstances such as rape).

Now here is the thing. I have heard that some feminists get mad when men open the door for them. However, I have never met any women like this in real life. Why would any woman with a right mind get mad if her husband is being romantic or kind to her???? How on Earth is that misogyny???

By chivalry I mean by men opening door, pays for first date, walking on the road side of the sidewalk, etc

Tbh I don’t really care. I mean it’s a sweet gesture but I don’t expect my bf to do it every time. I always open the doors for strangers just out of courtesy. It’s not necessarily a romantic thing.
Anyone who gets mad or offended by it has some issues.

I am obviously not a woman, but will answer anyway. Well, it depends entirely on the definition you are using for "chivalry". If you essentially mean possessing certain qualities like: courage, honor and courtesy, etc, then I hope it is not dead because these are the things that make up respectable women and men...qualities to strive for

Although if chivalry means acting different specifically for a woman and not every person equally, then fuck all that noise. Furthermore, chivalry is also not about pompous gestures, it is about ensuring that people around you are feeling comfortable. That means you help them out when this is okay with them, not "insisting" and other such cringeworthy theatrics which indeed just makes you overbearing, not chivalrous.

No, the opposite in my opinion but it must be really authentic and fit to the guy. And I think bills should be shared, this idea that we freeload on food is something I do not want to associate myself it. Although I wouldn't go out with anyone below my standards (physically, socially, ethically, etc.) anyway to begin with.
