Default What do you think of Afro-Latinos hating mestizos and white Latinos?

On Twitter, they have a big hate for mestizos and latinos, what gets my attention is that these afro-latinos come from countries with no mestizos (Puerto Rico, Cuba and Dominican Republic), they claim mestizos are oppressing them, but how?

    examples of their hate

They could be less toxic about it, but representation matters IMO. FWIW, it seems easier to have a high self-esteem as a black person in the U.S. and the UK nowadays than in some latin american countries where black people are almost exclusively portrayed as low-class minstrel caricatures and casually mocked for their hair/facial features

I personally feel more of a divide with elitist middle/upper class latin americans who have a passive disdain for their poorer compatriots/diaspora and don't resent regular, well-meaning people who happen to look more "latino" than I do

mestizos do not need to give anyone that is not part of our circle any representation, why are no mulatto or black countries giving blacks the representation they cry for? subscribe to American Cholo, he is Honduran raised in the chicano culture, he only identifies with other mestizos and indigenous people, listen to this podcast and what all mestizos and indigenous feel about associating ourselves with other racial groups just for labeling us "latino/hispanic", the divide is here and we are now seeing it, afro latinos have taken the side of african americans, that is fine, but dont come to our countries to destroy our identity by black washing us
