That's why Nationalism has only been getting stronger over the last couple of decades.

Not really, do you think the modern peoples are more nationalist then peoples 20-30 years ago? I don't think that.

Btw, I have the feeling, that people who are talking here, do not know, what it means "national state"
or "nationalism", confusing it with a fascism and nazism. It's not these. A fascism it is an ultra-statism
and the nazism it is a one-state communism with racial freaks and liars at the top.

Nationalism is nothing more than a term to describe behavior that benefits your own nation, as in your own people, as opposed to a state or country. I'm well aware of the difference between a state and a nation, and that the two could not be further apart. A nation is a group of people with a shared language, culture, race, tradition, land, and ethno-genesis. The idea behind much of German social theory prior to world war 1 centered around uniting the german nation, as in the german speaking peoples, under one banner. A nation can exist in both a larger and a smaller state than it's entirety, a nation can be spread over many states with independent and unconnected governments, or conversely, exist within a state with multiple nations.

Because so many think of it only as some weird state-centered civic nationalism, they don't understand the greater ramifications of the death of nationalism, that is to say the disappearance of entire ethnic nations from the earth simply because they stopped knowing that they themselves exist. Like a tribe that has been broken up and every member convinced that he is just some dude, that he is not in reality the physical continuation of a biological organism that all his ancestors participated in. To me it is maddening that the simple scientific fact that we quite literally ARE our ancestors body, is ignored. So far from taking credit for people whom you had nothing to do with, your ancestors actions are one and the same with your own, and vice versa. You are your parents cells recombined into a new shape, just as they were for their parents, and if you came from an area which had a small in-group population for a very long time, it is very possible that the same genetic mixture has been recombining back and forth with little overall change. For small isolated towns in europe or africa, they have most likely represented the same set of 300 or so people in their genetics for the last few millennia. In a very real sense, it's just the same people being born again and again.

That's not esoteric reincarnation mysticism either, that's just what we know from basic biology and genetic studies. In a way, breaking up a nation is killing ancient people and dispersing them around the world to never be born again.
