    Default Pontic towns in Greece

Hello Hellenes, I know there was the great population transfer of Greeks from Pontus to Macedonia and other regions, and still to this day there are towns in Greece with a Pontic Greek majority. However, I can't find their names or where they are located. It would be much appreciated if some information was shed on this topic. Thanks!

    Τhere is this interactive map.

    http://stavrakoudis.econ.uoi.gr/deth...yges-both.html

If you click on the place in Greece, a window pops showing "Λίστα προσφύγων και χάρτης προέλευσης"...and if you click this link, the location in Asia Minor from where the refugees migrated to modern Greece appears.

It also shows numbers but unfortunately it is only in Greek.

Generally speaking, Pontics settled a lot of villages in Macedonia and a lot of neighborhoods in Athens and Thessaloniki.

Yes, the Kilkis area is the probably the most Pontic non-urban area in Greece.

The city of Kilkis was majority slavic but the turkish and bulgarian orthodox were expelled in 1913, some 2000 Greek Orthodox who were slavic speakers from Strumica settled in Kilkis during the Balkan War.

Later Pontic Greeks settled there I guess.
