Do you descend from someone that has marked an important event in the history of mankind in some way?
I have been doing a genealogical research about my family in the last couple months, and for my surprise, I have encountered authentic information that indicates my kinship with some notorious characters from the first years of the spanish colonization of The Americas.
Some examples are:
Pedro de Alvarado y Contreras (c. 1485 - July 4, 1541)
Attachment 108994
Spanish conquistador, right arm of Hernán Cortés; better known for being the ordinator of The Massacre of The Great Temple of Tenochtitlan
Hernando de Soto (c. 1500 - May 21, 1542)
Attachment 108992
Another spanish conquistador; he was involved in the Conquest of Peru with Francisco Pizarro -it is said that Soto and Atahualpa, the last Sapa Inca, became good friends after the conflict-, and in an independent expedition throughout the nowadays southeastern United States. He died at the shores of the Mississipi River.
Moctezuma Xocoyotzin (c. 1466 - June 29, 1520)
Attachment 108993
The Aztec Tlatoani at the time Cortés and the Spaniards arrived at Mexico
I have more information about several other people of which I also descend, not only from the colonial times, but from different historical periods. For now, i would like to read your contributions.
