It is admittedly an exaggeration. But it is intended to draw attention to the fact that many people are not aware of the enormous lack of freedom that exists if you want to leave the mainstream in a certain direction. A tremendous lack of freedom compared to other countries that are generally regarded as liberal. This political oppression must be made public and made aware so that it can hopefully be abolished at some point. It is unbearable and humiliating.

They even had their own occupation zone in Austria and Vienna was divided in occupation zones resembling how it was in Berlin. This lasted for 10 Years.

I know the austrian far right was divided, some wanted to restore the Habsburgs, some followed Dollfuß's austrofascism and some wanted to joining to Germany. This is very interesting that FPÖ does not idealize any of them. Seems they are not really far right rather just regular conservatives.

They have no nostalgia for the past (exception maybe 1848 revolution). In fact they dislike the Habsburgs and give me the impression that they think our history started in 1945/55

Am 12. November 1918 beschloss die Nationalversammlung das Gesetz über die Staats- und Regierungsform von Deutschösterreich.[6] Laut Stenographischem Protokoll der Sitzung hat Präsident Dinghofer einstimmig angenommen festgestellt.[7] Das Gesetz zählt zu den wesentlichen Bausteinen zur 1920 von der Konstituierenden Nationalversammlung beschlossenen Bundesverfassung des neuen Staates. Der Beschluss wurde von den Präsidenten der Provisorischen Nationalversammlung auf der Parlamentsrampe öffentlich bekanntgegeben; Beschluss und Bekanntgabe werden in der Geschichtsschreibung als Ausrufung der Republik bezeichnet.
Die ersten beiden Artikel des Gesetzes lauteten:
Artikel 1
Deutschösterreich ist eine demokratische Republik. Alle öffentlichen Gewalten werden vom Volke eingesetzt.
Artikel 2
Deutschösterreich ist ein Bestandteil der Deutschen Republik. Besondere Gesetze regeln die Teilnahme Deutschösterreichs an der Gesetzgebung und Verwaltung der Deutschen Republik sowie die Ausdehnung des Geltungsbereiches von Gesetzen und Einrichtungen der Deutschen Republik auf Deutschösterreich.

In April 1921 98.8% of the Tyrolean voters voted for a re-unification with the German Empire and in the country of Salzburg 99.3% did so on the 29th of May 1921.

And at the 10th of April 1938 99.73% of the voters in Austria voted for a re-unification with the German Empire.

Austria is another German North Korea (besides the FRG) in respect to polical freedom. It's simply impossible to officially promote various things like a German re-unification etc. This is criminalised. So the current picture is not showing what Austrians (and FRG Germans) would think and say if they were free in that aspect.

I expressly don't refer to North Korea economically but in the matter of political freedom.

Just two small examples out of thousand possible ones:

You get punished by criminal law in the FRG when you hum the melody of the Horst Wessel song in public (!). And in Austria as well if you promote a re-unification of Austria and other parts of Germany as this is assessed as a Wiederbetätigung (re-doing) of National Socialism - unregarded that it was a political aim of essentially all political parties (!).
