At what age should one start telling yourself "I'm getting old"?

30-60 is "getting old" territory. Past that you're a full on certified geezer.

30 is nothing if you look after yourself.
A person can look great and be physically very healthy and feel young in their 30's if they do the right things ... of course good genes helps a lot.

People can be quite physically fit into 40's and 50's but of course this is a different type of thing - fitness compared to whats possible from 20 to 35. For men in early 40's there will be changes such as testosterone will gradually reduce. So i think for most people more significant age related changes will start in 40's. If you start looking old and get a Dad bod in early 30's it means your not looking after yourself.

In for example mixed martial arts ... there is many occasions of fighters in early to mid 30's beating fighters that are in early 20's to mid 20's. Its still possible to have pretty good fitness,strength in early 30's. The boxer Bernard Hopkins was beating much younger fighters when he was in his 40's.

A friend of mine is 52 he competes in marathons , and amazingly he also is cigarette smoker.

30s is the new 20s they say - I call bullshit on that one
40s is the new 30s I think that's true
50s is the new 40s I think thats true as well
60s is the new 50s maybe for 50% of people
So I think people function fine till they are 65 years old.

Obviously a 20 year old wouldnt find a 60 year old attractive but a 40 year old might providing the 60 year old is in good shape.

All open to conjecture really. Sometimes I feel I am 22 and sometimes I feel I am 40

23-25 if you're a NEET with no basic life skills

33-35 if you're looking to settle down and have kids

It's all in the mindset. Aging might make some physical changes with my appearance but I'll be damned if it stops me from being active and doing the things I want to in life.

40 is old if you are a woman. It is truly middle age if you are a man. Middle age by definition is not old.
