Both of Carlos Aboitiz's parents are Filipino. They've been in the Philippines 5 generations, and they still live in the Philippines
The mother is from the Cabarrus family. They had an ancestor who was originally from France and then moved to Spain, and then to the Philippines. But that was many generations ago.
