Europeans often do this in a dismissive way to belittle Americans. A true mutt would have at least 12 different ethnicities . Most White Americans are NW European. French/Germans are hardly any different from each other and neither are British. A true "mutt" would be part white, part black, part Indian and something else. But in that cause they call them "exotic".

You are literally a card carrying member of a native American tribe, so how is it dismissive to point out you're racially mixed? Surely if you're a member of a native American tribe you have significant Amerindian admix right,

I took rothaer to be referring to even Americans with <1% admixtures. While such small amounts are common enough here, they are not in Europe. And if a German or any other European prefers to avoid tainting his bloodline, I fully respect that. I am not going to act like many of TA's Latin Americans and demand that the rest of the world accept my parameters for whiteness.

His position is unreasonable, unless he also advises not mixing with Southern Europeans, Russians, Finns etc. Even some NW Europeans from urban areas have minor non-white these days, and minor Jew of course.

Lol, sorry, was in a rush and couldn't word it better. But yeah, it depends on the yardstick a person uses, like many have said here. If you are measuring with the "we wuz huwites" one, then no, Americans aren't mutts, but if you use the JamesBond007 yardstick of "Anglos uber alles", then yes they are, specially since Americans are less Anglo than the other heavy hitters of the Anglosphere these days, so to speak.

23andme has a tendency to create narratives. I've been there over 10 years and seen how results change.

AncestryDNA one day after several years all of a sudden said that I was 1% SSA. LivingDNA says I am 100% European 97.9% British and Irish and 2.1% continental Northwest Germanic. LivingDNA is not perfect but definitely better than 23andme and AncestryDNA for people of British isles heritage.


America is the land of the multi-cult I would not trust 23andme and AncestryDNA on such things. I don't trust Greeks nor Polacks etc.. from GEDmatch on such matters either. I'll go with the British for experts on British isles DNA.
