Why do you think the first one passes better in south korea?

I don’t know who passes better in South Korea but the first one has thicker nose, more fleshy mouth and eyelids and therefore looks more Southern than the second, IMO.

In the first pic she looks like she could be mixed. But Japanese sometimes do end up with more Caucasoid features compared to Koreans.

Your second phrase is definitely true, to me. Even if Jomon genetics is a minority in your average Japanese, they can display more pseudo caucasoid types than Koreans, to me, and also more pseudo southeast Asian types.

Koreans, to me, are the epytome of East Asians look.

Honestly though...if I didnt juxstapose a more korean looking person against the pic for girl 1. How many people would have assumed girl 1 is korean? I think actuallly visualizing a more east asian looking person has put in the perspective how atypical example A is as a East Asian.
