Does southern Europe begin below 45° degrees latitude or below 40° latitude?

The population distribution is very assymetric to stablish a cut off based in Paralels, e.g. we cant put Southern France in Southern Europe. But I agree more than half Italy (if not entire Italy) can be Central Euro.

divide the area into two equal parts, the upper part is north, the lower part is south

if you want to include a central part then divide into 3 parts

Calabria Sicily Puglia Campania, and any other regions below 40° latitude are 100% deep south Europe..

From CRETA 35° Greece to LYON 45° France is south Europe
From LYON 45,5° France to EDINBURGH 56° England is central Europe
From EDINBURG 56° to JOKKMOKK 66° Sweden is north Europe.

In South Europe live 42% of Europeans, in central Europe live 52% of Europeans and in north Europe live 6% of Europeans



In north Europe live only 6% of europeans people and the contribution to European civilization is even less than 1%..

North Europe is insignificant in any aspect..
