Default Morphs of Polish Olympic team (Tokyo 2020)

I chose 88 female and 99 male athletes from Polish Olympic team for morphing. Naturalized athletes are not included.
There are also morphs for some modern voivodeships which are the most represented. I hoped the female morphs will match the male morphs.
I think that athletes should be divided into larger regions to see differences on a larger scale, but i haven't figured out a division yet.

    Great job

All look passable, not sure if typical though

When the sample size is smaller, the result looks less accurate, as expected.

Very interesting. Some quick observations of mine:

    1. Kuyavian-Pommeranians and Pommeranians seem to be the most CM influenced, which is interesting because post-WW2 era Polish anthropologists came to a similiar conclusion.
    2. Lower Silesians seems to be the darkest featured, which is logical considering they are mostly descended from Poles resettled from what is now Western Ukraine.
    3. Masovian and Lesser Polish morphs seem quite similiar, except Lesser Polish seem more Dinaric/Noric influenced and Masovians more Baltic influenced (logical considering Masovia is closer to the Baltic states, and Lesser Poland is closer to Carpathian mountains).

I know number of samples are not representative plus they are cherrypicked because they are all athletes, but there might be something to it.

Did you try making morphs of Eastern Poles compared to Western Poles, or of Northern Poles compared to Southern Poles? The real phenotypic differences are so subtle that you probably need larger sample sizes to see them clearly.

In the morphs below, the sample sizes are 166 and 92, but some of the differences between the morphs are still caused by differences in camera angle. For example the Eastern Finnish morph seems to have higher canthal tilt, a shorter distance between the eyebrows and the eyes, a less tapered and more rectangular hairline shape, and a higher vertical position of the ears. However what explains all of those differences (at least partially) is that the photos used in the Eastern Finnish morph were taken at a higher camera angle on average.

I created morphs of Northern Poles and Southern Poles. Division is simple. All born north of 52°11′N (centroid in the north of the Łódź Voivodeship) are in Northern cluster and the others are in the Southern cluster.
I will create morphs of Western and Eastern Poles and maybe also morphs based on historical regions.

I also created morphs with females who look the most familiar and the least familiar for me:

Familiar in what meaning? As more attractive to you or ones that could pass in your area?

Those that pass in my area. Attractive would look different.
