Actually we are getting darker and darker due to unending waves of immigration from the middle east and Central/South Asia.

We will be like Canada soon.

I don't think emblanqueamiento is an official Turkish policy; if anything quite the opposite, given how Kurds have a slightly higher birth rate than ethnic Turks and, above all else, the very large numbers of Middle Eastern refugees (principally Syrians) now living in Turkey.

Most of them live in refugee camps. Those who live among local people are seen as "alien" an people mostly avoid interacting with them. This applies to most, if not all muslim-background immigrants here. Mixing with Syrians is limited to "second wife" role in souteastern regions. However, There are some Turkmens in Syrian refugees and they sit outside of this isolation.

When it comes to intermixing with other peoples, here i can say most popular is -as most people know- Russian. Mostly females, of course. For reasons= 1- They are more educated and adult-minded, compared to local girls 2- They are easier to marry, as they dont have a family in Turkey (: 3- They are tall and slim; men who likes this type find them very beautiful. (NW european women are also tall but bold)

Generally, from my friends and relatives i have one person married to muslim foreigner (my cousin- Algerian woman) but countless others married to christian-secular europeans. (Mostly German, Russian and English)

Well I find it more than a little surprising that Turks seem to prefer/get on better with Russians and other Europeans than with other Muslims, but there we go.

We call it Republic of Turkey since 1923. You can also (simply) call that "Atatürk".

Blacks generally seen as fun and non-dangerous people. They have better reputation than any muslim immigrant. I see some marriages but not common. My cousin's Algerian wife is also black-ish. (But their son was born with fair skin, since his father is pale skinned)

East asians cant be seen as a group. Japanese are highly respected people here. With Koreans with have historical ties due to Korean war history. This two have perfect reputation. China is different story, mostly coming from East Turkistan-Uyghur situation and this late corona- bat eating videos. I hear a lot of negative opinions about Chinese. They might see racism. Other east asians are not well known here.
