Now that I live in Northern Wisconsin, Scandinavian food looks pretty bad. I haven't had anything up here from the grocery stores, but when I lived in Chicago I tried a number of Swedish restaurants that, as famous as they were, were dreadful. Like a Swanson TV dinner, but not as tasty.

I would have zurek and kotlet schabowy on any given winter day with no problem but Estonian's blood sausages and canned Baltic fish, no thanks.

I'm probably going to be crucified for saying this, but Japanese. I don't think all of it is bad, but to me a lot of it has a very uh... aquatic taste, I'd say.

What about vegetable tempura though?
