    Default About the coffee

And now I'm only focusing normal coffee, not Late, Expresso etc.

Something which is done via coffee machines like Moccamaster (the best which we have had so far, pure taste based)

If I'm staying longer periods outdoor ... I tend to make coffee in old traditional ways like this (real fire) and not carry coffee with me in any thermo bottles:

Or if that is not possible using different kinds of cookers like done in here:

The point was that the coffee has always tasted really good. I have put that reasons of environment (food tends to taste better outside as well).

But now, as I had time (Su morning), I tested to make coffee same ways at home (kitchen stove) ... using whispering water/coffee pot:

And coffee really tasted bit different. Meaning better. At least for me. Of course that needs some work. I decided to ask are here anybodies who still will make coffee this ways?

I use Moccamaster, pretty much same as in the picture. Today people use expresso machines and they have not old fashion coffee machines, for example my brother. In my childhood all people made coffee by coffee pots. I remember time when ppl had coffee grinders.
Now ppl use them, again. Maybe coffee pots come soon again. People started to use machines in the '60s. I want to move on to expresso, but wife still resists

Do you think that coffee made in coffee pots will taste differently vs coffee made in coffee machines (even in best ones like Mocca Master)?
As you are Finn you know well Paulig's coffees. So lets say same brand and product: Jubileus Mocca or President.

I've not tasted pot coffee for a while and can't give answer now. My wife always give me an order to buy Jubileus Mocca or President, but I have tested cheaper ones. I find the difference even if the cheaper coffee is mixed with better ones. It is easy to taste differences between coffee qualities.

I read somewhere that in Finland (where people will drink most coffee per heads) .... 90% of bough coffees are coffee machines grades but still 10% coffee pot coffee grades. I assume older people and people in country sides still will use coffee pots? Lifestyle is not as pressing or fast.

I can note the differences. And I like to add ... between the coffee machines alone ... the quality means a lot!

Cheap coffee machines will make raw tasted coffee. Period. No matter how strong coffee you'll make (= how much you use coffee).

But between good quality coffee machines (over 100 - 150euros like Mocca Master) and pot coffee (if using same coffee grade) ... the pot coffee is someway ''thicker''. Not stronger (as such but thicker .... more full/more rich). I guess part of that comes from fact .... the pot coffee will include clearly more fats of coffee and another part how the coffee is produced.

To me nothing beats coffee made out from a proper Italian espresso machine.

When I have time and want some kind of ritual, I use this vintage coffee maker, from the times when the Netherlands was not yet de-industrialized (early 90s?). But the coffee turns out to be rather weak, which entails overspending, but without sediment.

The wife sometimes uses the classics. I - very rarely, I do not like sediment.

Much more common than other options is regular freeze-dried coffee with milk.

They are all from the same bag, do not engage in self-hypnosis.
