I do agree that the "man of sin" in 2 Thess 2 is fulfilled in the office of the papacy. The clue can also be found in that he is also called the "son of perdition." This is the same term that Jesus applied to Judas. So this strongly suggests that the man of sin is a false believer or hypocrite, which the pope certainly is. And the apostasy is fulfilled not only in Roman Catholicism (it was present in the so-called "church fathers"), but also everything that came out of her. Note the plurality in Rev 17:5. I believe this includes Protestantism generally, as well. God's people are only a small remnant.

However, I believe the beast of Revelation is the Islamic mahdi. And Islam teaches the return of Jesus, who will actually be a false Jesus who will direct people to Islam. This totally fits the description of the false prophet of Revelation.

What we need to bear in mind, is that Jerusalem is the Whore of Babylon in the Book of Revelation. I am very confident about this. It can easily be proven in scripture. Not Rome, not New York, not Mecca. Jerusalem. Killer of the prophets.

This has stark implications. I am looking into who/what the Beast represents on which Jerusalem the Whore rides. It's either America, or the Islamic world. I'm busy with an indepth study on that.

Most people would think "this is antisemitic!". But the truth has never been popular initially, until widely understood.
