I had to tune the calc to be more precise for me by eliminating Scandinavian and Greek and Balkan, it wanted to split my ancestry mostly between those two plus some minor African. Once I cleared all of that out, I can target a more realistic result.
Here is my mother's results:
Target: Mr.G_Mom
Distance: 0.6867% / 0.00686657
48.2 British_Irish
20.8 Greek_Balkan
15.6 Scandinavian
10.2 French_German
1.6 Sardinian
1.2 Spain_Portugal
1.0 Filipino_Austronesian
0.6 Nigerian
0.6 North_African
0.2 African_Hunter_Gatherer
Now let me eliminate some things from the SOURCE and focus the result a bit:
Target: Mr.G_Mom
Distance: 0.8006% / 0.00800581
49.0 French_German:French_North
44.0 French_Germanutch
7.0 Eastern_European:Hungarian
^^^ This is pretty good, the French_North and Dutch reference behave as a proxy for her West German + minor English ancestry. She also scores a little Hungarian, probably from many years of kissing my father (joke )
If I use only German and English in SOURCE (which should work well in theory), she does not get an accurate result. It seems the G25 German average is too Eastern-shifted for her, there must be a number of Central/Eastern Germans built into the average. She scores way to much English:
Target: Mr.G_Mom
Distance: 0.9412% / 0.00941157
57.2 French_German:German
42.8 British_Irish:English
Me and my mom tested, but my father never did. Kaspias made me scaled coords for him, but not unscaled.

Thank you! No problem and i understand why you put these two here. 23andMe definitely should work on their Eastern European category since it's a big category.
They should have for example a region for Baltics, East Slavs, West Slavs and a separate Pannonian one like Living Dna have.

According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.

[QUOTE=Gergő Marosvári; ...and a separate Pannonian one like Living Dna have.[/QUOTE]
If they can make it work reliably GREAT, cause I'm sick of me getting results like 50%Estonian + 50%Spanish.
The problem I see is that nothing really peaks in Pannonia so it must be like component A within a certain range in combination with component B within a certain range etc.
I suppose that some of the suspiciously high Balkan results on 23andme of me, and even much more so of some Czechs, are due to a combination of "Slavic" and "Greek" and "Med" that count as "Balkan" resulting in too high Balkan results.
