Last time I was in Brussels I had the impression it had a higher percentage of muslims than Paris. It is also much smaller so people tend to concentrate more while in Paris depends alot where you go, the 75 (Paris), 78 (Versailles/Yvelines) and 92 (Haut-de-Seine) departments are mostly inhabited by "french" residents (lots of jews, orientals and homos in the 75 and also some afro-muslim resident pockets apart from the huge fluctuanting population that comes from the suburbs), the 94 is mixed but has lots of muslims, africans and orientals, the 91 and 95 are mixed between rough banlieus and semi-rural areas. The 93 is basically an afro-muslim enclave.

this part of the pic is only based on nationalities if only origin are taken into account then I'm pretty sure blacks would be more numerous

It's also the impression I had. I was expecting more foreigners in Paris but actually no Brussels clearly has way more maghrebis but now if you take banlieues into account then yes it's clearly another situation. Overall I feel like Paris has more blacks than north africans while it's the opposite for Marseilles.

Yes it's possible, I believe we see definitely more blacks than north Africans in the Paris region. Many blacks are Muslims.

I used to go often to commerces (bakeries, grocery stores, restos, street markets etc) owned by north Africans because they were always open and the service was much better...usually the quality of the customer service and sympathy in Paris is atrocious, never met more arrogant assholes, it looks like they are doing you a favour instead of being thankful to the customers, at least north Africans have kept their hospitable trader culture.

Yes many blacks there are muslims but you have almost all of sub-saharan communities there : malians, congolose, ivorians, togolese even blacks from islands like Guadeloupe or Martinique.

As for parisians and their bad hospitality, it's well known actually and I suppose it was even more surprising for someone coming from Portugal like you haha In my case I'll be honest I don't see much difference with belgians.

Parisians tend to be even less friendly than Londoners, and that is saying something. (In both countries, however, people are much friendlier outside the capitals).
