That's bs, no "objective data" confirms this

having same skin tone/pigmentation isn't going to tell us much. Also haven't you met any north african in your life ? No way we look like you or any other south european population. There can be some overlap but it really concerns a very tiny part of our populations. South europeans look definitely more like central/north europeans while we look more like middle eastern pops.

From the point of view of skin color, Greeks, Albanians, Italians and Iberians are equidistant from other Europeans in general and from North Africans, and even almost indistinguishable from many coastal North Africans.

Based on FST distances between samples in the 1240K+HO dataset, South Italians are about as far from Libyans and Tunisians as from Finns and Lithuanians, and they're about as far from Egyptians as from Norwegians and Ukrainians. But the Spanish population average is even closer to Chuvashes and Vepsians than to Libyans or Tunisians.
