Regardless of race or skin color, anyone joining those services are most likely from poor backgrounds and low IQs. I might be a narcist but some people just dont see beyond the danger.

Actually, the military is one of the few careers(along with the aviation industry) where it is legal or socially acceptable to discriminate by IQ and actively test applicants. Military personnel will most be around the below average or average in terms of IQ, as there is a threshold you need to pass in the US to be acceptable. The Army has less standards than the Marines and Navy and it's been lowered over time, but there's still a minimum threshold.

I doubt that modern infantry has to endure that many hardships, they mostly hold ground for air and remote means, but you certainly need at least basic intelligence to organize yourself in a unit.
