    Default Do Americans celebrate chinese new year?

    I guess chinatowns do, but i dont know if the non-asians do? I know they celebrate octoberfest and st.patricks day, that is big in america.

    Not really. Dec 31st and January 1st are only the holidays regarding the new year

    According to Wikipedia: "The first day of Chinese New Year begins on the new moon that appears between 21 January and 20 February"
