I feel like Meshuggah is a somewhat overrated entity in Metal

While very skilled musicians, they often use oddball tempos and polyrythms for verbose and self masturbatory purposes.
Also the overall scope of their albums is often self indulgent and tries too hard to justify its own existence lol. The robotic shouted vocals are too cacophonic for me also, Jens should try to insert a little clean singing here and there. See Converge or Periphery.
