BTW:

I think for Europeans it makes the most sense to report ancestry from around 750 years ago.

For Spain and Poland definitely choosing year 1250 AD makes the most sense, in my opinion.

I have the impression that they can report ancestry from even further in the past. Since the Bretons, for example, score moslty as Scots/Irish, like if their ancestry was reported from like 1600-2000 years ago, before their emigration from Great Britain and their settlement in the region.

I don't know enough about my pre-1700 colonial family to say if the exact percentage of the different British groups is right, but it looks pretty close. The German is as expected.

Germanic Europe seems to extend far in the Balkans, if almost everybody from Balkans gets at least some "German".

Baltics seems to be a pretty vague category, if there are even Brits and Greeks getting it.

Nonsense. Germanic Europe is a genetic group which has absolutely nothing to do with the Balkans and peaks in southern Germans. Baltic is well defined group as well which includes actual Balts and Baltic admixed Slavs near by.
