I score high Portuguese and especially high Italian. I was once asked on here if I had an Italian ancestor as a matter of fact, lmao.
Probably comes from your Canarian ancestry, if I had to guess. There was a strong presence of Portuguese & Genoese merchants and settlers on the islands. Not to mention that sometimes you see Canarians scoring a weirdly high NW Europe percentage as well. The first conquerors of Canarias were Normans, and the first settlers too...which is precisely why you can find surnames like Betancour and such. There were also Flemings who were dedicated to trade and the British who promoted the cultivation of the vineyard and introduced the plátano there.
