Very atypical (from what I've seen on the interwebs). I think he looks NW Euro. WHG is strong in that one.

I don't think he looks German. just a rare look. maybe light pigmented Berid? WHG was strong in him.
makes me think a bit of Basque football players Bixente Lizarazu and Xabi Alonso. the Basque-Sardinian connection

isnt this the Sardinian actor you once posted (forgot the name) mixed with an Anglo ?
Dont think any squarre jaw line comes from WHG - just look at some reconstructions- Stonehenge man etc.WHg could play a role in this cases, but the ancestry is rather small (and get out of your pigmentation box btw) or jsut look how some non-Euro folks, not really WHG related like Proto Iranids, Berberids etc jawlines can have. its maybe more related to adapting to certain food etc.
Also why pigmentation is decieving- the Norwegian comedian brothers are good examples:
