Default Is Hairiness more of an Alpine or a Mediterranean feature?

Coon mentioned many times that the most Med types and regions were characterised as being less hairy, e.g the Arabian peninsula, parts of N Africa and also southern Spain. Alpines he said tended more towards being hairy though to me it seems only to be the case where Alpines have mixed with Meds such as in Turkey, northern Spain, Italy and in parts of central Asia. I think the unibrow might be an Alpine derived feature rather than a Med one as apparently they are most common in central and western Asia rather than in N Africa and the Arabian peninsula.

My whole family has not the slightest med influences, while having certain Alpine input. All the men have strong body hair and a slight tendency to unibrow including me, so yeah.

Interesting, same with myself, i think my hairiness comes from my Alpine component rather than the Med one, hairiness is quite common in Spain but we have to remember that the Alpine influence is quite heavy there(which is why many northern and central Spaniards especially tend towards lighter complexions) though metrically they generally conform to the mediterranean type.

I could comment on this, but you didnt sent me any pics back after getting all my pics, you basically scammed me. \:

For the case, i think its not connected to phenotype. Ive seen very hairy meds and alpinids but i also have seen not hairy meds and alpinids.

I think that you are right though in general the hairiest types tend to be in regions with a lot of Alpine influence, this can of course appear in Meds inevitably seeing how genetics work but Coon said that the Yemenis who are some of the least Alpine influenced Mediterraneans where not at all hairy when compared to Kurds etc.
