So, i don't know his type.
I only know he was planoccipital( or almost), had small skull dimensions, also small and flat face( as is common for East Asians) with a very recessed maxilla. His nose silhouette was concave but hus nose tip was downward.
He seemed to be of short or shortish height( even though probably taller than average for Chinese people of his time).
Profile shot of him with Richard Nixon:

I doub't very much he was "1.80", Nixon was 1.82 according to Wikipedia and you can see in the photo above that Mao was considerably shorter than him.

I think some people might lose some height in their last years.[/QUOTE]
Yes, i also read that people lost like 1cm every year when elder.
And Mao seemed to have a bad posture judging by that photo. But i still don't think he ever reached 1,80 in his life. The height difference between him and Nixon is evidently big, i don't think he would lose so much height just because of aging and 1,80 was very tall for East Asians for that time, even if you consider that many Chinese died of famine/starvation in his regime.
Another thing is that people often lie their height and/or round it up. For example, someone that is 1,78.5 can round up to 1,80, specially if you use the feet and inch system of USA.
Even today, 1,80 is still tall in most countries.

Look at this site that talks about Chiang and Mao's height: https://lujuba.cc/en/314129.html
In this photo below he on the side of Chiang Kai-Shek, who was 1,69 according to Wikipedia.
Mao seemed sligltly taller than him.
If the Wikipedia is right about Chiang's height, then Mao was probably in between 1,70 and 1,72,5, estimatedly, judging by this photo alone... But wait
But in this photo below, Mao looks a bit taller than the previous, and Hurley, the tallest man there is 1,88.
So maybe Mao reached 1,75( as some sources suggest, as well;
Mao was almost certainly not "1.80", in my dummy opinion):

I think he looks sophisticated in the first picture, but at the same time somehow sinister and distant.
