What age does a person typically reach to completely lose interest in playing video games?

never been into video games, maybe because I didn't grow up with it.

when I see people over the age of 16 playing "games" I instantly make an impression about them, that they are childish/not serious.

but I do procrastinate on the Internet once kids go to bed

probably I just envy the ones that afford to get some time for such useless activities.

however, playing video games after age 25 or so does look strange to me

Its not age, but when you reach that time when you have so much else more interesting/more important things to do that you don't play anymore. Some stop play at 20, some still playing at 30.

I grew up playing cards, board games, chess, backgammon, etc with family so grew up with puzzles and quizzes.
I played semi professional sports until my mid 20s work just consumed to take it further at that stage.

I still like the occasional relaxing video game in my spare time.

There is nothing wrong with video games, they're also fine to improve your abilities for example problem solving skills. In the human evolution the games (or playing) were always very important, you can find it among animals too. I play with videogames 1 hour/day in general.

As long as youre taking care of adult responsibilities, there's nothing wrong with video games. Everyone deserves a bit of downtime to unwind.

I'm playing with Battle for Middle Earth: Age of the Ring 7.1, old game but great and i also love every form of Lotr

I only really play Stellaris which is a grand strategy game - very in depth and need to think through basically everything

the other thing i like about it - i can save it and come back to it a week later.... TV bores me to no end and always up to date with news through work anyway.

Nothing wrong with spending your downtime playing video games, no matter your age.

I stopped enjoying video games around ages 12 to 14, something like that. But I just developed other leasure activities that I liked better. As with anything else, it only becomes a problem when it gets out of balance with the rest of your life.
