I sent then my ftdna data its same file I send to most companies and always works. As said they did process info about traits etc
everything but my ancestry and it has been around 7 or 8 days since I uploaded. I didnt give them accurate info in their questions about my ancestry as I believe a legitimate calculator should be able to determine something about ancestry anyway i wonder if they partly base their result based on peoples answers to ancestry questions if so or if thats what they use to help them then thats cheating. The questions they ask are about ancestry of parents and 4 grandparents ... i dint give them real answers and i dont have an ancestry result so its interesting.

I can confirm that they don't base it on the answers you give. I didn't fill in the details of my ancestry. Also my result only took about a day and they let you know when it is ready by email.

I am now thinking that the ftdna uploads wont be finished processing ancestry because they say only upload 23andme myheritage or ancestrydna

I've got a lot of German as well. Maybe they sourced the German component from Slavic Eastern Germans?
Bedouin and Eskimo - probably a noise.

My results:

EASTERN EUROPEAN 64.6%
GERMAN 33.8%
BEDOUIN 1.4%
SIBERIAN ESKIMO 0.1%

I don't remember my, my mother and my girlfriend results but...
I know that this company is the weakest on the market.
I have 50 % Slovenia, my mother 50 % Austria, and girlfriend 70-80 % Germany ....so, no...

But it's curious, I don't have Eastern European ( I checked) only Slovene, Germany, Ukraine

Maybe their references for Eastern Europeans are mostly Eastern Slavs.
Eastern European is a very broad category.
And Poles definitely fall genetically between Eastern Slavs and East Germanics.

Anyway, I think their ancestry estimation is very simplistic as for now. They can improve a lot.

Maybe their references for Eastern Europeans are mostly Eastern Slavs.
Eastern European is a very broad category.
And Poles definitely fall genetically between Eastern Slavs and East Germanics.

Anyway, I think their ancestry estimation is very simplistic as for now. They can improve a lot.

Their references for Eastern Europeans are only Polish. At least that's what you see when you click on "Download PDF".
