I regret that I came home late home tonight, because I would have better opened this thread yesterday October 12, in the Hispanic Heritage Day. But is better now than never. Since unfortunately, we are in times that rock is in decay, I want to celebrate rock music, hoping that it will turn back to be more popular as it was in the recent past. I don't know if this thread will be a fail, like other threads I have opened in the past, but I decided to take the risk.
If this thread is not successful among all users (which I would totally understand if they are not interested if they are not Spanish speakers), I expect it at least to be a successful thread among Spanish speaking users. But if some non Hispanic users like it, they are more than welcome then. And since yesterday was the Hispanic Heritage Day, and I want to celebrate rock music, then I decided to open this thread to show rock music from the different countries of the Spanish speaking world (Spain and countries from Hispanic America). Everybody is welcome to post themes, but please NOT pop, or pop-rock leaning more to pop, but really rock themes from rock bands, of any rock sub-genre, as long as it is actual rock, or at least more rock than pop.
For non-Spanish speakers: I will try to post the English translation of the lyrics of some themes (not all of them, but some), to see if that way I grab the interest of some non-Spanish speakers. And you are more than welcome to ask me to post the translation if you're interested in knowing the lyrics of some particular theme that I haven't posted the lyrics in English.
I will start with this this song from the Spanish rock band Iberian Wolves, that is titled "Nunca Pediremos Perdon" (we will never ask for forgiveness) is in response to stupid demands coming from leftist Latin American leaders (like Lopez Obrador and Nicolas Maduro), asking Spain to ask for forgiveness because of their conquest and colonization. The very nationalistic music theme talks about the glorious Spanish empire "where the sun did never set", and how Spaniards are very proud of their History, and will never ask for forgiveness because of their glorious past they're very proud about. This theme is also in response to stupid lefties who pretend from Spaniards to feel ashamed of their glorious past:
Theme from 1989 of the Spanish rock band Extremoduro. Extremoduro is a Spanish hard rock band from the region of Extremadura (in western Spain), and that's what the name of the band comes after. This theme is dedicated to their region (Extremadura), but they say Extreme and Hard giving to it a sexual connotation:
