I decided to do FTDNA, so I uploaded my raw data, paid the price and then... it comes kinda different. Here are the results:

Europe 94%
- Iberian peninsula 59%
- Italian peninsula 28%
- Greece & Balkans 6%
- East slavic <2%

Americas 3%
- Amerindian - Central & South Mexico 2%
- Amerindian - Argentina & Chile 1%
- Amerindian - Andes & Caribbean <1%

- Western Lake Victoria Basin <1%


Now, compare those results with the ones I got from DNA.land, for example:

41% Southwestern European
20% Mediterranean Islander
20% North Slavic
16% Northwestern European
1.1% Ambiguous West Eurasian
1.7% Native American

I also got, in other tests: Jewish (duh), East european, and even some similarity with balkan folks in some oracles. Now I'm honestly confused: Which one should I trust? Is FTDNA the accurate one?

Perhaps, It's a possibility that is backed up by some tests, but there are others like Genera that gave me a high east european (10%), plus the oracles that give me some ashkenazi (it's also the only viable explanation that I have for those east european % appearing).

They do have, but I only get them in some. Now, about my jewish ancestry, it's all proven by my haplogroup + the fact that I do have jewish-related surnames in my ancestry + majority of tests giving jewish in the results.

But in my case, I'm prolly not accepted as a "true jew" by the rabbinical jews, but I am by the karaites (as all my jewishness comes from father's side as far as I know).

Yes and no, the GEDmatch calculators use very little SNPs (Eurogenes K13 for me uses only 57k SNPs), but I like the method they use to calculate.

Accidentally sent the same message twice, so here (the second message) I'm gonna say one thing I noticed: the calculators on GEDmatch always gives some semitic in oracles, whether jewish or arab, which is another contradiction with the FTDNA results.

I understand , that is very interesting ,is your father's line colonial from São Paulo?Would you mind telling me the ancestral surname If you know( maybe on the private)?I am interested cause I am also part colonial São Paulo (1/4)working on my tree, and althought no test gave me jewish I know that I have some distant sephardic too from the 16th century colonial northeast( google for Branca Dias If you are interested , she is my ancestor).
