Also, if we go by pre-WW2 Polish borders, then it is possible that the Proto-Slavic homeland was located somewhere within the pre-WW2 Poland. Stalin took away ancestral Slavic lands from us... ;(

Most of them came from Ukraine (Belarus was only 2nd in the ranking).

They are not dispersed all throughout the country (except for big cities like Warsaw of course), they mostly stayed where they settled in 1945. There is a comparison of their distribution in 1950 vs. 2012 and it was similar in both sources.

I made a map based on that data:

If it is true, this is really incredible and interesting fact.

The city of Vilnius was considered a historical capital of Lithuania; however, in the early 20th century its population was around 40% Polish, 30% Jewish and 20% Russian and Belarusian, with only about 2–3% self-declared Lithuanians.

And South Slavs have some cultural influences from the Paleo-Balkan peoples?

I suppose they do but the said culture was transmitted to them indirectly through culturally "Romanized" paleobalkanites so it's not that easy to distinguish it.

I think stronger Non-Slavic cultural influences on Polish culture are more recent, and come from the numerous minorities that inhabited the country until the World Wars.

For example around the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries (before WW1) almost every county in Poland had at least 10% (and often much more) share of ethnically Non-Polish inhabitants.

Below is a map of all counties which had less than 10% of minorities (in other words, all counties where ethnic Poles were between 90%-100% of the population) during the 1800s:

Of course the two largest ethnically foreign groups were Germans and Jews, followed by East Slavs in eastern parts of the country (including pre-WW2 Former East Poland, but also easternmost fringes of Poland within current borders, with East Slavic groups such as the Lemkos, etc.).

    Yes.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavo-Serbia

Except News Serbia and Slavo-Serbia 303 Serbian families from northern Dalmatia in 1771. settled in present day Ukrainian part of Galicia https://www.poreklo.rs/2013/02/14/se...rba-drugi-deo/
303 families in 18th century was roughly 3000 people. Because average nimber of persons by family in 3 Serbian northern Dalmatian villages Žegar, Mokro Polje and Ervenik on Venetian cadastre in 1709. was 9.8

    ^^^
I cut off Former Eastern Poland in the map above, but IIRC there was not a single county where Poles were 90%-100% and minorities less than 10% in that whole territory. There were many counties there where Poles were the majority or the most numerous group (plurality), but never over 90%. Remember that Former Eastern Poland had also a lot of Jews apart from Ukrainians, Belarusians, Lithuanians, etc.

BTW there was also a Polish area in Latvia:

Some of that samples, that you posted are Belarusian-like, but not all.

Take a look, more than half of the samples are closer to Ukrainians

I mean, Lithuanians were a fucking 3% in Vilnius, were completly on Hitler nazi side in WW2, steal that city from Poles with help of communists, and then cry to this day how they were opressed in USSR.

    What a hypocrites.
