What you propose is the ultimate Head XXII. Not to mention that letting a state alone to have so much control of the money/resources/power would not end well, as we've already seen a couple of times.
If it was true, no companies would exist in the social democratic countries and all people in Sweden, Denmark, Austria etc. would be unemployed.

Those countries don't go all the way with their social politics as the OP suggests though. They are more or less aware of their limits right now. But if they'd suddenly adopt his model, you'd be seeing some pretty crazy stuff really soon.

Lightbulb in the united states, the "rich" half already pay for almost everything

while the "bottom" half can receive almost every necessity for free
(if they choose to apply to the appropriate program).

jeff bezos paid almost one billion dollars
in federal income tax that year

(while providing almost a million jobs directly
    and many more indirectly
and service to over two hundred millions of customers).

elon musk paid less than half a billion that year

(while providing less than one-tenth the jobs
servicing less than a quarter-of-a-million customers).

what do the numbers look like
    in your country?

For Christs sake, we are both the same age and approaching 40. If've been working for 20 years, when including army service, and you you're planning to go to university?

People that are productive do not owe anything to people that are not productive. It should only be voluntary.
The best and most social way to improve the life of low income individuals is to cut their taxes as much as possible. The only thing that a Government does with higher tax income is to become less efficent to distribute it to the people.

I think people that are on welfare shouldnt even be allowed to vote.

Its mostly unemployed , students or public sector employees calling for this nonsense.

Same with the universal basic income bullshit.
