This measurment (L + B) gives an advantage for those, who have long heads. It's more important to have a broad head, because if some have similar values, person with a broader head has a bigger brain capacity.

(Actually I don't think this study had measurements from Komi Republic or even from Nenetsia, but they just grouped Nenetsia together with Siberia, and Komi Republic fell within the curve from Nenetsia to Siberia.)

Mine is 212.3 + 157.1 = 369.4, from the average value of multiple measurements performed with a caliper. I didn't press the caliper very hard, because then it returned to a more relaxed position before I was able to see the reading, but I subtracted 2mm from the measurements to account for the thickness of soft tissue and hair.
