I don't see why not - same as how the Premier League clubs in London, Liverpool and Manchester in particular attract loads of fans who are from places nowhere near their locations.

Looking in detail the map I see La Rioja is another tie and it lacks Teruel, Palencia, Zamora, Soria and Segovia, which you can bet your ass support Real Madrid by far. In Segovia there are tons of Atlético fans by the way.
I doubt in my province there are more people that support Valladolid than Real Madrid too.

Balearic Islands is another tie according the map but I think there they support more Barcelona than Real Madrid for historical reasons.
One can usually sees by the number of people watching a match of a club in bars or restaurants how popular a club is in a region even if there are always some antis watching.

When I was in Mallorca several years ago I had also the impression they supported Barcelona more. Galícia seems right, although there are many Real Madrid fans also, and in Sevilla, Bétis is traditionally the club of the "clase Obrera" and has many more older supporters, Sevilla is catching up tough.

Something curious I notice is that Real Madrid is by far the most supported team but most of the rest are very anti RM.

Still many cities are strongly supportive of their local clubs in detriment of the big ones: Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle, Nottingham, Leicester, Sheffield, Sunderland, Stoke, just to name a few. Also clubs from small cities are strongly supported and London is a particular reality given the density/population, basically they were almost "neighborhood" clubs like West Ham, QPR, Full ham, Milwall, Crystal Palace...now surely not as much as in the old days since many native Londoners have moved out.

Nothing beats Buenos Aires tough, with the exception of Boca and River, that are nationwide, practically every barrio has its own well supported club. They are very "bairristas" over there.

True but you still find plenty of supporters of the big ones in those cities too. Even at school in Leicester I remember there being as many fans of Man Utd or Liverpool as there were of Leicester City.

Perhaps Germany has a stronger city/region to local supporters relation, apart from Bayern which is almost national there aren't other big clubs to compete.

Well it helps Germany has maintained a system of local and cooperative ownership, rather than becoming a playground for every superwealthy Gulf Arab, East Asian or American.
