80 Euro, 13 Amerindian, 7 African a good estimate for Uruguay. Very Euro-shifted but not carbon copy of Europe like most of the people think.

But specially you can find many harnizos and castizos there, easily more so than in any part of South, Bahia or Southeast Brazil.

But it doesn't work like that. Most people don't score SSA, but the ones who do, score high amounts of it. The majority of Uruguayans look white or castizo, and then you have a bunch who are black (kinda like in USA). SSA is not diluted in the average population.

Another thing to mention is there's a racial break in Uruguay. Middle and lower class don't look the same. In Uruguay about 70% of the population fall into middle class, and 30% in lower class. Lower class people look dark, surely less than the 80% average you talk about. That leaves the rest of the population with a higher average of euro. Basically you have white looking people middle class, and a darker looking lowe class.

Not everyone look 80/13/7 like you say. Not at all. Many look very euro, others mixed, and others plain black.

I say more, Uruguay must be more african than indigenous as a whole, because in these studies on Uruguay generally Afro-Uruguayans are not included, for Uruguay as a whole I would say it is 81% Euro, 10% SSA, 9% Indigenous.

I think his phrase ''But not carbon copy of Europe like most of the people think'' bothered you, it seems that you don't seem to like the fact that Uruguay is not a European country, and that there are many non-whites in your country.

    Typical hypocrisy of a leftist.

Uruguay has a majority of people who are very euro and then a minority of people who look/are clearly mixed. You are posting photos of the ones who look/are clearly mixed. Not representative IMO.

Actually genetic studies prove you are right. Most studies have a just a minority of uruguayans scoring significant SSA.

Almost every uruguayan genetic study ( if not all of them), have uruguayans scoring more amerindian than SSA. and there is no proof they dont test afro uruguayans. Normally there is a few scoring hight SSA but it doesent seem to be common for the entire population. Its more common to score amerindian for them.
