Bandalić comes from the word banda, which “came through the German language. It came into German from French, where it initially means "company, crowd, mob, pack," and by mixing with the Gothic word bandwo it begins to acquire the terminological meaning "warriors gathered with the same battle flag," "those who enter under the same flag.
