Then why do you think Westernness/Easternness is relevant? Blondism is also irrelevant, eye lightness is a better predictor of genetic northernness, though still imperfect.
    Spoiler!

Yeah actually, it is more relevant in terms of facial features than colouring.

Well in that case, the Irish and Scots are indeed genetically more Northern than everyone except for Scandinavians and maybe Dutch and Estonians.

Scots are more Norwegian influenced compared English people especially southern English people. Irish is a red herring as Scots are more blue eyed

Scots with the Irish are palest-complected people on earth. How is that out of place for their location? Have you smoked some weed or what? They are also the world’s most ginger people after only the Irish, Scotland is about as light-eyed as Denmark. 86% of Scots are blue or light-eyed! Hello!

That's the point though, I don't find the Scots much if at all more Nordic-looking than the English (at least the Eastern English, at any rate).

The Shetland islanders are even less Nordic looking than the southern Scots going by what i have seen online, that is despite their DNA being more similar to Norwegians.

Well your thread here is daft. Scots were driven to their dreary province by nazi-like English aggression (Highland Clearances, anyone ?). Your thread is stupid because Scots were shoved there by the English.

The Highlands are only one part of Scotland. Who do you think was inhabiting the rest of it?
