I see people who are desperate to feel special and form a connection with something that is separated by the barrier of nature. Wild animals have some capacity for affection and love, even to humans, which is what they want to prove and experience. What they don’t understand is that their affection does not translate to permanent unconditional loyalty the way it does with a cat, dog, or horse and that they will flip on a dime and kill you like it’s nothing. Their instincts are just too strong.
