As a fan of The Matrix and former Sims “gamer” this humors me so. Besides if Elon Musk is behind it, then there must be some truth to it

That "supercomputer", invented by an obviously superior being, is God. These tech inventors such as Elon, even though he didn't even create Tesla, use the simulation theory to inspire and force innovation rather than to negate reality and its inherently hopeless messiness.

The simulation hypothesis has been a long running joke among the billionaries of Silicon Valley. Some even claim that the simulation is crumbling to cope with the freak show that has become today's world. If anything we're in an "ancestor simulation" where things that happen to us also happened to our ancestors just in a different era.
