Lightbulb Genes Matter: 8 Different Genetic Testing Companies Used

I'm still waiting for well over half of them so will post the results at regular intervals. This information will be extremely useful as I have noticed that some of these genetic companies are giving widely different or incorrect results.

Genes matter (not for anthrotard reasons) 7 SNP sets depending on your SNP profile(s) are crucial to your health :

    MHTHR

    DAO

    COMT

    MAOA

    GST/GPX

    NOS3

    PEMT

Alot of people suffer under the delusion that genes or genetic expression is written in stone because they are ignorant of epigenetics but in fact even if those above genes are dirty you can clean their expression for optimal health through diet, exercise, limiting stress, reducing exposure to toxins and supplements not to mention moderate exercise. MHTHR is responsible for over 200 processes in your body and a dirty MHTHR, DAO and COMT set of SNPs can cause bipolar etc... like behavior but most psychiatrists are ignorant of epigenetics and are corrupted by big pharma so they will say some bullshit like "you need to be on neuroleptics and lithium or depakote etc.. for the rest of your life " .

It is beyond belief that there's no phone number I can call. It is also beyond belief that they do not use major courier services such as FedEx, DHL, and UPS for all international shipments.

Especially considering that they charge an arm and a leg for the tests (almost 500 USD).

Not 8 different tests, but 8 different companies. Depending on the testings offered. So definitely more than 8 tests. Way, way more.

Guess I really trust them, huh? Quite the contrary. Not especially after getting an incorrect Y DNA result from FTDNA. And even more so after an incorrect ancestry report from DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC) Cincinnati.

Hopefully 23andMe will clear some things up for me.

Vikas, your results are expected by November 15
Keep in mind processing times may vary and it may take up to November 29 to receive your results.

    STARTED ON NOVEMBER 4
We are reading about 600,000 locations on your extracted DNA. This step usually takes 3-10 days.
On to genotyping! Thanks to this technology, we’re able to read around 600,000 letters in your DNA, which power your 23andMe results. We use probes to turn your sample into knowledge.
    LATEST UPDATE:
We're running our scientific models on your data to produce your reports. This step takes up to one week.
During analysis, colors are translated into your DNA letters and important quality control happens. This is the final step before your results are ready.
I'm definitely expecting to be of the E1b1b haplogroup and probably expecting to be of the E-V13 subclade.

    My 23andMe Maternal Haplogroup Report:

Your haplogroup, shared with the people of the Corded Ware culture, traces the long line of women in your family tree.

You descend from a long line of women that can be traced back to eastern Africa over 150,000 years ago. These are the women of your maternal line, and your maternal haplogroup sheds light on their story.

Vik, your maternal haplogroup is W6.
As our ancestors ventured out of eastern Africa, they branched off in diverse groups that crossed and recrossed the globe over tens of thousands of years. Some of their migrations can be traced through haplogroups, families of lineages that descend from a common ancestor. Your maternal haplogroup can reveal the path followed by the women of your maternal line.

Haplogroup W appears to have originated in the Middle East about 20,000 years ago. The haplogroup reaches its highest levels among the Sindhi of southernmost Pakistan, and is also relatively common in northwest India and among the Kurds and Mazandarani of northern Iran. Members of haplogroup W may have entered present-day Pakistan not long after their branch arose, traveling eastward at the end of the Ice Age about 15,000 years ago, when the warming climate would have brought increased rainfall and better chances for survival.

Although W is most common in the Middle East and south-central Asia, it is also sprinkled at low levels around the rest of Eurasia. It is found at single-digit percentages in central Asia, along the Atlantic coast of Europe and in Finland, and slightly higher percentages in Eastern Europe.

W6 is relatively common among 23andMe customers.
Today, you share your haplogroup with all the maternal-line descendants of the common ancestor of W6, including other 23andMe customers.

    1 in 660
23andMe customers share your haplogroup assignment.

Haplogroup W has been found at sites from the Corded Ware Culture.

    corded_ware_map.f0982a8273c8.jpg

The name of the Corded Ware culture comes from their characteristic pottery, which was decorated with cord-like designs. The people of the Corded Ware culture likely grew out of the steppe culture north of the Caspian Sea approximately 4,900 years ago, and were highly mobile and used horses and wagons extensively. They spread west to cover much of central and eastern Europe from the Volga to Germany and the coast of the Baltic Sea, spreading proto-Indo-European language with them. In fact, their language was the common prehistoric ancestor of Celtic, German, Baltic and Slavic languages.

While the expansions of horseback warriors from the steppes are associated most strongly with the spread of paternal lineages, a number of maternal lineages also grew in frequency with the spread of the Corded Ware culture from the east. Researchers have found members of haplogroup W in remains from both the steppes and Corded Ware sites, suggesting that W may have been one of these maternal lineages.

Vik, your DNA suggests that 99.6% of your ancestry is Gujarati Patidar.

Gujarati Patidars are members of a genetically distinct community from western India who descend from primarily agricultural and merchant classes. (Patel is the most common last name in this community and is related to the name Patidar, which means landowner). Over the centuries, as Patidars married within their community, a distinctive genetic heritage developed. Today, people with the last name Patel represent around 15% of the population of Gujarat and almost 10% of people of Indian descent in the United States.

And they can't seem to get it right.

If it doesn't jell, it isn't aspic, and this ain't jelling.

    According to FamilyTreeDNA:

    Y-DNA Haplotree - Confirmed Haplogroup is C-K466
    According to 23andMe:

Vik, your paternal haplogroup is C-Z5896.
As our ancestors ventured out of eastern Africa, they branched off in diverse groups that crossed and recrossed the globe over tens of thousands of years. Some of their migrations can be traced through haplogroups, families of lineages that descend from a common ancestor. Your paternal haplogroup can reveal the path followed by the men of your paternal line.
Your paternal haplogroup, C-Z5896, traces back to a man who lived less than 45,000 years ago.
That's nearly 1800 generations ago! What happened between then and now? As researchers and citizen scientists discover more about your haplogroup, new details may be added to the story of your paternal line.
    Furthermore!:

You belong to haplogroup C-P92, a branch of haplogroup C that likely arose less than 45,000 years ago in the Indian subcontinent. The earliest members of C1-P92 lived 20,000 years before the height of the last Ice Age and 35,000 years before the development of farming in the Middle East. Haplogroup C originated 65,000-76,000 years ago, about the time humans began migrating from Africa en masse. The earliest members of haplogroup C lived about 30,000 years before the extinction of the Neanderthals.

Haplogroup C is found throughout East and Central Asia, Oceania and Australia. Though haplogroup C-P92 is one of the less common groups in haplogroup C, it has been found at low or moderate frequencies in people of several populations in India. Specifically, members of C1-P92 have been found in the Dhodia, Dubla, Konkana, Vasava, Gamit, Valvi Chaudhari, Nana Chaudhari, Mita Chaudhari, Lingayat, and Vokkaliga populations. The closely related haplogroup C1-M356 has been found in people of Indian, Pakistani, and Chinese descent.

C-Z5896 is rare among 23andMe customers.
Today, you share your haplogroup with all the men who are paternal-line descendants of the common ancestor of C-Z5896, including other 23andMe customers.
