We live in a house with a garden and small goldfish lake in an outskirt of a middle-sized town.

My wife and i live in a 3 bedroom detatched house with a garage, i have owned it since 1997. Our garden is about the same size as the area of the house.

I recently moved out of my parent's house into a little rented terrace. In quite a few areas of Northern England it is actually cheaper to rent or buy one of these rather than a flat or apartment.
Apartments around here are old mills converted to luxury flats beside the rivers and cost too much or as much as a terrace.

They're only small houses with two bedrooms usually, whilst there's no family there's no need for a large house.

One thing I have never understood though is why people in England don't do more loft conversions. Space is at a premium and rather than moving house it'd often be easier to convert the loft. It can even be done in a little terrace, it's a good way of putting wasted space to good use in a overcrowded country.

Now I have my own little shoebox / broom cupboard as colonials would say.

My parent's house is actually quite big for how cheap it is. It's in a nice area but the postcode pushes the prices down.
The garden is quite frankly huge and the house is quite big and is fringed by woodland and close to shops and the countryside. Pretty nice really.

me and all my relatives and village live in the same kerpiç house (adobe house) built through a European Union program that helped us leave the "under the bridges". we're so very happy now and as soon as we'll be well fed and have the energy, we'll pay you back a visit. all of us. thank you, Europe!

I live in an apartment. 1 living room, 1 bedroom, kitchen and WC. But our building has also a garden. I have lemon trees and tangerine trees. Also, in the summer, tomatoes.
I own the apartment, I don't rent.
