I've only seen Fresh Prince, but

    a) fantastic show
    b) fantastic theme, iconic

brilliant, so perfectly geared to be both funny and accessible and also tackle and raise awareness of issues without being patronising to its audiences. Even had a mix of characters speaking General American and AAVE (and of course RP). They couldn't even come near to it today.

I feel like Moesha and The Prince of Bel-Air were made for the African American public while Sister Sister and especially The Cosby Show to a wider audience that included whites. Which one was more iconic? I never saw it because I was too young but definitely The Cosby Show. It was the #1 comedy show in America back in the second half of the 80's (it broke barriers). The other shows were never at that level but Bel-Air did great. Moesha and Sister Sister were almost tie but I choose the latter.
