Default Who are your favourite painters or generally artists?

I love Impressionism and Neo-Impressionism and some Realists too.

My favourite artists are therefore: Caillebotte, Renoir, Monet, Manet, Chagall, Cézanne, Chardin, Pissarro, Goya, Titian, Degas, Fragonard, Rubens, Hopper, Munch, Velázquez.

    Polish: Malczewski, Beksiński, Wyczółkowski.

My favourite female painter is Berthe Morisot.

When I was a kid I liked the most Salvador Dali who now I find pretty overrated. If you watch his work in person they become even less impressive.

lol I still love Salvador Dali

I also like René Magritte, Claude Monet, Van Gogh, Andre Breton, Max Ernst, Edgar Degas, Ivan Aivazovsky

I’m usually drawn to surrealism, impressionism and romanticism styled art.

Magritte is pretty cool - especially that painting with an oversized apple! For some time I had it as my desktop. I've never heard of Aivazovsky somehow, I'll google him.

I think you might be referring to his painting, The son of man?

My favorite by Magritte is The Lovers

No, I meant this one. But Magritte seemed to be fixated on apples in his art as there is a lot of containing them.

    The Listening Room from 1952.
