Look, that's the same like it was for many generals, officers and soldiers of Britain, even a lot of tradespeople.
They might have thought - whatever - but that's not the point. If they even died and sacrificed themselves for "Britannia", in practise and on the longer run they just made the dirty job for the Plutocrats, the road free for their plans!
That's what they "achieved", nothing else, regardless of what THEY thought they were doing.
Of course we know the outcome now, they probably couldn't have imagined, but if we look back in time, there can be no doubt about it, they were just tools abused by the Plutocratic Oligarchy, which gives a fuck about the true interests and well being of the true British people, or Europeans for that matter.
And that's the verdict for all those things...
Probably Rhodes thought about other things, probably he was just a corrupted soul, but the outcome is clear, regardless of what he thought or intended. British blood, African blood, European interests for Plutocratic profits and power. That's what he "achieved".
