I only added the Canary Islands there because they are geographically in that region and since the locals are pretty unique, so I couldn't leave them out. That's why I also added Cannarian after the regional name, so people would known which specific kind of Northwest African ancestry they get and they wouldn't mix it up with the Maghreb type.

But at the end of the day you are still counting Spaniards twice, in two separate regions. Iberian users will probably complain when they'll get Northwest African first.

Cannarians are a separate ethnic group, a mix of Spanish and Guanche people, they number around 1.5 million and they are pretty distant from Iberian people and islander populations deserve representation, especially when they are this numerous. Similar case is with Kuban Cossacks who are somewhat similar to Ukrainians and Russians, but still are not that close genetically, plus they have their own self-identity. Through this calculator I wanted to offer also representation to several populations who have their own identities and aren't very similar to any other population. A Spanish person who will get high Canarian shouldn't assume they have exactly Canarian ancestry, but Canarian-like ancestry, the two are different concepts.
