At work they asked if I was a Minor!

This happened tonight. They have a new manager in the Customer Service. Our store does curbside pickup but you must be 21 or older to carry down the booze. They asked me first "Are you a minor"? Now, I'm sure they would ask it to a lot of people, but they wouldn't bother to anyone who looked over 30 that question. It's not the same as being "carded" where they ask anyone who looks under 80 basically for their ID.


So , I couldn't believe she asked me that, stunned, I told her I was 42. She could not believe it. She said "You look so young!". I don't if the Lord sent this angel my way because I was feeling suicidal earlier, but it did make me feel a little better. Of course looking young for your age isn't the same as being good looking, but it helps.

I got kicked out of a couple or so "R" movies when I was 18 because I didn't have my ID with me! I sometimes got my cheeks pinched in high school, but, sadly, it was from high school girls, not little old ladies. SMH

Oh, you look good. You really do. Just don't set yourself up for insults like that. There's no need to feel depressed or suicidal. Look at the big picture. I dated perfect 10s back in the day, but you would never trade places with me. I lost my parents *and* my wife, and I know next to no one here. You should count your blessings because *your* problems can be solved.

I swear to you, I'm not lying. But at work we do have to wear masks, but even with those you could easily see the age of people. They really did ask if I was a minor. Perhaps they thought I was in my late 20s and just had to be "sure", but still it's something.
