I used to be in the purple haired brigade until after high school. I then found stuff online that made me connect the dots, and here I am. I grew up in a very, very liberal household in a very liberal college town. If the Internet did not exist I do not even think I'd be the same person that I am today.

I visited New York once and the whole place just felt soulless. Like it was just one big store front. No one seemed happy, everyone was just trying to hurry to get out and it was a miserable place that existed only to sell you as many things as it could

I used to romanticize the US when I was a kid but now, everytime I visit I feel more disgusted. As I grow older I also contemplate the idea of having kids someday and I'm sure if they grew up in the States there are 80% chances they would develop some mental disorder.
